Canon was unknown because of his left field surprise, but had just announced a big one in the form of a double fisheye lens that allowed the owner of the Canon EOS R5 to shoot VR 180 degrees video.
Canon RF 5.2mm F / 2.8L Dual Fisheye is the first and first VR lens in the world for interchangeable digital lens cameras that can shoot 180 degrees VR videos. We have seen many cameras capable of shooting previous 3D impersive videos, but not a pro lens designed for cameras such as Canon EOS R5.
The reason for this lens has been designed for the EOS R5 in particular is because of the 8K sensor – maybe the camera. This means you can photograph high resolution VRs in a format like Canon Log 3, for high dynamic ranges, and also shoot with low light thanks to bright F / 2.8 aperture.
Canon said the new RF 5.2mm F / 2.8L Fisheye is part of the new EOS VR system, which includes a new Canon VR software application (called EOS VR Utility) and the EOS VR plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro.
This all signaled the real reason for unexpected arrivals from the RF lens capable of VR – helping to streamline the workflow that caught VR. At present, shooting high-quality VR requires two cameras with two lenses, and the ability to synchronize these different viewpoints and files together. With this lens and new software, Canon says it aims to simplify this process to finally get more people to make (and watch) VR 180 degrees.
To do this, the lens creates two rounds, 4k images from the 8K EOS R5 sensor. This is then flattened by VR Canon software to give you an 8K file – or what will look like an 8K video when you see it on the headset. Manual focus RF 5.2mm F / 2.8L Dual Fisheye is a pro-level lens, also with a special layer to prevent ghosting and flares, plus full weather checks. There is also a ND filter holder on the back of the lens to allow you to keep shooting in bright conditions.
But who is the canon actually make this lens? Canon said that at first it was more aimed at the business side, in areas such as training and health care, but it was mainly waiting for what the creators did with it. The creator needs to have a reasonable budget, because the Dual Fisheye Dual RF 5.2mm F / 2.8L lens will cost £ 2.099 / au $ 3,849 (around $ 2,859) when it goes on sale in December. But it is also quite affordable for high-quality VR shooting settings such as this lens and Canon EOS R5.
