Canon is one of the biggest names in photography and video equipment. The company has announced the launch of a new VR EOS system, virtual reality video production system. This camera includes a special lens and a pair of computer software applications to allow for direct capture and video creation virtual reality.
Cannon said R5.2MM EOS lens F / 2.8L dual fisheye will be available in late December 2021. Virtual reality is being used in various industries today, including entertainment, education, and tourism. Canon saw an increase in demand for virtual reality and have decided to use optical technology prowess and interchangeable lens system camera EOS to create a virtual-reality system of new production.
VR includes mirrorless EOS cameras, special lenses, and software. VR image can be captured with special lenses attach to the camera, allowing virtual-reality image captures 180-degree high-quality 3D. RF5.2mm F / 2.8L Dual Fisheye produces parallax effects used to create a virtual-reality 3D image 180 degrees. With the lens mirrorless camera that connects to R5, the user can use the recording capabilities of the camera 8K to create ultra-high-definition video that is very deep.
Special lens coatings allow users to shoot in backlit conditions. Each double-fisheye lens system has a light captured by a single CMOS image sensor. Using a single CMOS Sensor Reduces traditional VR production workflow that makes creating a video on the backend.
The lens itself will be available in late December 2021, with prices announced closer to launch. EOS utility software VR and VR EOS plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro will be available in late December through subscription services.
