Facebook and applications down again, according to the company. The latest blackout level is not immediately clear, but Facebook and Instagram both acknowledge that “some” users have difficulty accessing their services.
Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger All SAW Spikes on users who report problems around 3pm ET Friday, according to downdetetcor.com, which tracks service interruptions on popular websites. However, the problem does not seem to affect all users equally, according to site outage maps. In a statement, a Facebook spokesman helps companies work on repairs, but do not describe the source of the problem. “We are aware that some people and business have difficulty accessing our products.”
The latest Facebook problem comes only a few days after the worst blackout company in the year, when each service owned Facebook fell for more than six hours. The company then connects this problem to the “damaged configuration change” which interferes with the DNS server. “We have spent the last 24 hours, how can we strengthen our system to this kind of failure,” Mark Zuckerberg wrote in a statement on Tuesday.
But technical problems are not the only problem that disturbs Facebook this week. Massive blackouts were also raised on the US Senate floor this week, where parliamentarians hear the testimony of the reporters who said the company had routinely ignored researchers to prioritize security and growth. Although Facebook has tried to underestimate and discredit these claims, the resulting supervision has forced the company to “pause” to work on Instagram children’s applications and slow down other new project work.
