The new world, being an online game with competitive PVP, requires anti-cheat software. Anti-cheat software is not new, but in the case of the new world, it actually causes problems for some players. Apparently, easy anti-cheat – new world anti-cheat software options – are experiencing some connection problems that prevent people from even launching the game.
If you count yourself among the groups that have been locked from the new world because this problem is easily anti-cheat, you can sigh of relief because there seems to be a solution. In the New World Forum, Amazon has detailed some potential improvements to this problem, and both look quite easy.
The first involves verifying the new world game file through Steam, which is as easy as right-clicking on the game in your steam library, selecting “Properties,” navigating to the “Local File” tab, and then selecting “Verifying Game File Integrity.” You have to wait when Steam Verify your installation, but it usually doesn’t take more than a few minutes for the finished process.
If verifying the integrity of your steam file does not make a difference, Amazon also recommends reinstalling an easy anti-cheat. It can be done again by right-clicking on the new world in your steam library, it will “manage,” and then choose “Browse local files.” From there, open the folder named “Easyanticheat” and run EAC executable in it. Click the “Repair Service” button that appears in a new window and it must improve your installation and the problem associated with it.
While we are not sure whether amazon and anti-cheat are easy to work on more permanent improvements to this problem, hopefully only, these two solutions are enough for most people who cannot enter the game because of the problem of the EAC connection.
