Microsoft made a translucent controller for the Xbox’s 20th birthday

On November 15, 2001, Microsoft released the original Xbox, in its process, it changed the landscape of the console forever. Twenty years later, the company plans to celebrate the birthday of its first home system by extinguishing a handful of transparent accessories, including the Xbox Series X / S controller that you see above.

According to Microsoft, complicated translucent design is a reference to the thrush translucent controller that is sent with the original Xbox debug kit – even though I imagine for most people, it is more likely to remind them of the iconic iconic iconic purple controller, and it’s a good thing. A nice touch here is that Microsoft makes the silver internal component to make it easier to see. Typical green brands are used for accent details, including back handles. Outside the visual flourishes it, functionally the same as other Xbox wireless controllers that you can buy from Microsoft. Expect Bluetooth for PCs and cellphones, support for button mapping and D-PAD which is better than what is found on the controller of the previous Xbox generation.

You can order pre-orders The 20th Anniversary Special Edition Controller for $ 69.99 starting today through Microsoft Store. Coming November 15, it will also be available through various retailers. If you can’t justify adding another controller to your collection, Microsoft also plans to release a 20th anniversary stereo headset that will sell for $ 69.99. Unfortunately, it did not lean against the translucent aesthetics that was sufficient as much as his colleague but still looked like it would be a decent exhibition.
